The online FOCUS environment is an interactive environment primarily used to test and develop report requests. Online means that you are sitting at the terminal while your report is generated.
We recommend executing reports online with record limits to test your commands and preview the output before executing in the batch environment. Refer to the topic: Batch Execution for more information. Note: Report requests containing variables (implied prompting) can only be executed in the online environment.
