Dormant accounts to the SCO mainframe computer and CIRS are
closely monitored because they are considered a potential vulnerability that
could be exploited.
The CIRS non-use policy is as follows:
- Your userid will be revoked if you have not
logged on to the SCO mainframe for 32 calendar days or if you enter 3
incorrect passwords in a row. If your userid is revoked, it means
your userid is denied access to the SCO mainframe, but your CIRS account
is still active. To regain access, contact the SCO Information Security Office to reset
your password.
- Your CIRS Security Coordinator will be
notified if you have not logged on to the SCO mainframe or used any of the
CIRS functions for 90 calendar days. If you still require access to
CIRS, you should logon and browse a compendium report or execute an ad hoc
report request at least once each month.
- Your CIRS account and any related files will
be automatically deleted without notice if you have
not logged on to the SCO mainframe or used any of the CIRS functions for
180 consecutive days.
If you need CIRS access in the future, your CIRS Security Coordinator must submit a CIRS001 and PSD108 to re-establish a CIRS account.
