The purpose of this report is to identify those employees on the PIMS Employment History Database that were not included on the IPEDS reports because of invalid or missing information on the database record. The Reasons for Exclusion and Instructions for Correcting Data deficiencies are provided in these links.
Employees that are not counted (O) or receive message number are 02, 03, 04, 06, 07, 08 and 12, will need to be manually added to the IPEDS Online System.
Not all employees on the report are in error. The report also shows employees with multiple positions. The employee should be checked to see if the program selected the correct primary positions. Employees with invalid or with unknown ethnic origin will also be on the report.
Refer to the Detail Error Report by Employee Group B43 for a sample page. Each field/column on the sample report has been labeled with a letter to assist in identification and provide a Brief Definition of each field. The letters will appear in parenthesis and is referenced throughout the instructions.
