Edit Report

You can use the edit option to simply view your batch report, or to change the batch report before it is printed or downloaded.  For information on available edit commands, refer to the topic:  Edit Report Requests.  Note:  The original report request and/or data are not affected when you edit your batch report.

When adding or deleting lines of a report, be aware of where pages start and stop.  This is indicated by the carriage control characters, which are located in the first column of the report data.  For example:

EDIT   PD.CSUCFOC.RPTUSER.REPORT.UUSER - 01.01 Columns 00001 00072

When you have finished viewing or editing your batch report, press the F3 key to exit and save your changes (if any).

Print Report

You can print your batch report as is, or you can print it after deleting the batch cost information and the FOCUS request statements.  Before printing, you should always view the file to verify there were no errors.  At the printer options menu, select the desired printer and if needed, change the number of copies and specific lines to print.  Press enter to send to the printer or F3 to cancel.

Download Report

Batch reports can be downloaded from CIRS to your PC.  Reports are usually downloaded to improve the printed appearance of the report in a word processing program, (e.g., Microsoft Word), by changing the font type, size, color, etc.   Before downloading you should always view your batch report to verify there were no errors.  For a discussion of downloading, refer to the download command under Compendium Reports.
