Item 958 - Final Salary Anniversary Date / SSI Counter

(PPT Line G Item)

This is an employee-specific item that indicates the month and year that a Unit 3 employee will last be eligible to receive a Service-based Salary Increase (SSI), and the number of remaining increases, if any.

The date and counter are computer-generated* for transaction codes A50, A64, MSA and SCR. However, the month and year may be recalculated and entered by the campus because of a leave without pay, dock, or other personnel action that would have an effect on the anniversary date. The final date and counter are determined at the time of the individual's appointment or most recent promotion. Depending upon the employee's academic rank and placement on the Unit 3 Salary Schedule, the employee may be eligible to receive up to a maximum of eight SSI's, subject to the SSI maximum for a given class.

*Note: Computer generation has been temporarily suspended until system changes can be made to allow a counter greater than 4.

Coding:

On Line G, enter: 958 / XX/XX-X (One of the codes below)

MM/YY is a valid entry for those who are eligible for additional SSI increases (not at the maximum for the class and range, and not at their own individual maximum (Code 99/99) - see below). The 'counter' (#) is any number from 1 to 8.

MAX-0

Indicates that the employee has reached the maximum salary for the class and range. The 'counter' is equal to 0.

NONE-0

When date is indeterminable or if there is no anniversary date. The 'counter' is equal to 0.
