Item 225 - Academic Days Worked/Not Worked

This item is used only when an employee paid on the academic calendar is appointed to an academic year classification after the first date of an established academic pay period.

 

Coding:

XX XX (days worked not worked, including leading 0's)

Example:

If there are 22 days in the academic pay period and the employee worked 18, enter:  18 04.

Audits:

895-01 ACADEMIC DAYS NOT PERMITTED, NOT ACADEMIC-YEAR CLASS.

If Item 225 is entered, class must be academic (AY).

895-02 ACADEMIC DAYS NOT PERMITTED, TRANSACTION EFFECTIVE FIRST DAY OF ACADEMIC PAY PERIOD.

If Item 225 is entered, effective date must be other than the first day of the academic pay period.

895-03 ACADEMIC DAYS ENTERED DOES NOT EQUAL NUMBER OF WORK DAYS IN ACADEMIC PAY PERIOD.

Time entered in Item 225 must equal number of days in the academic pay period of the effective date.

895-04 ACADEMIC DAYS WORKED AND NOT WORKED REQUIRED.

Item 225 must be entered if class is academic and transaction code = A50, A52, A56, and effective date is other than the first day of the academic pay period.

Audit
Instructions:

  1. If entered, the sum of days worked/not worked must agree with the total number of established academic work days indicated on the academic calendar for the pay period.

  2. When processing an AxxC and the original appointment had Item 225 completed, you must re-enter the information to avoid receiving this message.

  3. To delete entries in the field, enter an asterisk (*) and press EOF.
