Leave Data Files Comparison

If your campus participates in CLAS, there are several files in CIRS that contain leave benefit and state service information for up to 26 leave types. Refer to the chart below for a summary of the file differences. For detailed information, refer to the master file descriptions.

Leave Balance Information (LB)	Leave balance history per leave period, per benefit type.	5 years of data.	Weekly.
Leave Benefit Detail (LD)*	Transaction history for establishment periods and non-standard rates.	5 years of data.	Weekly.
Leave Employee History Information (LH)*	Transaction history for leave system position.	5 years of data.	Weekly.
Leave Employee Specific Information (LV)	Personal data for employees on leave system.	Current data only.	Weekly.
Leave Transaction Information (LR)*	Transaction history for leave benefits by leave period.	5 years of data.	Weekly.
State Service Balance and Transaction (LS)*	Transaction history for state service balance by leave period.	5 years of data.	Weekly.
