Supporting faculty research

Since 2009, COAST has provided more than $5.4 million in support to CSU faculty members. As a result, faculty members have secured more than $24.6 million in extramural funding.

Training students

COAST has made 2,452 awards totaling more than $4.2 million to support students through research, travel and workforce training. This has led students to degree-relevant careers and graduate programs.​

Informing decision-making​​

​COAST serves as a platform for communicating expertise and delivering scientific insights to support informed policy development and evidence-based decision making on ocean and coastal priorities.​
