Introduction
The Board of Trustees of the California State University owns all real property of the CSU system, including the physical land, any permanent improvements, and related legal rights and obligations. Further, the Trustees have the authority to acquire, sell and exchange any interest or use of real property.
On behalf of the Trustees, the Chancellor’s Office Real Estate Services unit within CPDC owns
CSU’s policies governing real property, maintains real property records, and supports the 22 CSU universities in the development, evaluation and execution of real property transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, development partnerships, ground and space leases, and easements.

Physical Master Plan
The Board of Trustees of the California State University (CSU) requires that every campus maintain an approved "Physical Master Plan [that] is a graphic representation of how a campus will implement its Academic and Strategic Plans."
The Physical Master Plan comprises a one-page map and associated legend identifying building numbers and names. It depicts the temporal planning status of existing and proposed boundaries, buildings and parking lots.
