Steven Church
Steven Church is the author of “The Guinness Book of Me: A Memoir of Record,” “Theoretical Killings: Essays and Accidents,” “The Day After the Day After: My Atomic Angst” and others. His essays have been published and anthologized widely. He is a founding editor and nonfiction editor for the nationally recognized literary magazine The Normal School and coordinates the residential MFA program at California State University, Fresno and teaches for the low-residency MFA program at Sierra Nevada College.
Sherrie Flick
Sherrie Flick is the author of the novel “Reconsidering Happiness” and two short story collections, “Whiskey, Etc.” and “Thank Your Lucky Stars.” Her work has appeared in New Sudden Fiction, Flash Fiction Forward, Ploughshares, Booth and SmokeLong Quarterly. Flick served as series editor for The Best Small Fictions 2018 and is co-editor of the forthcoming Norton anthology Flash Fiction America.
Brynn Saito
Brynn Saito, MA, MFA, is the author of two books of poetry, “Power Made Us Swoon" and “The Palace of Contemplating Departure," winner of the Benjamin Saltman Award from Red Hen Press and a finalist for the Northern California Book Award. She also co-authored, with Traci Brimhall, the poetry chapbook, “Bright Power, Dark Peace." Brynn is an assistant professor of creative writing in the English department at California State University, Fresno.
Rion Amilcar Scott
Rion Amilcar Scott is the author of the story collection “The World Doesn't Require You” (Norton/Liveright, August 2019). His debut story collection, “Insurrections” (University Press of Kentucky, 2016), was awarded the 2017 PEN/Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction and the 2017 Hillsdale Award from the Fellowship of Southern Writers. His work has been published in journals such as The Kenyon Review, Crab Orchard Review and The Rumpus, among others.
Justin Torres
Justin Torres has published short fiction in The New Yorker, Tin House and other publications. His novel “We the Animals” has been translated into 15 languages and was recently adapted into a film. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for five Independent Spirit Awards.
Anthony Varallo
Anthony Varallo is the author of a novel “The Lines," as well as four short story collections: “Everyone Was There," winner of the Elixir Press Fiction Award; “This Day in History," winner of the John Simmons Short Fiction Award; “Out Loud," winner of the Drue Heinz Literature Prize; and “Think of Me and I'll Know." Currently, he is a professor of English at the College of Charleston, where he is also the fiction editor of Crazyhorse.
