How to Apply​

Apply​ on Cal State Apply

  • Prepare your required application materials. Details can be found on each course page. Combine into a single file.
  • Prepare your financial documentation if you want to apply for scholarship assistance. Review the ​scholarships page for more information.
  • Create an account on Cal State Apply. If you've used Cal State Apply for admission to Fall 2024 or later, you'll need to create a new account. 
  • Choose CSU Summer Arts under the Degree Goal question. Under Find Program, search Summer Arts and choose Undergraduate or Graduate depending on your status. You'll choose your class later in the application. 
  • Ensure you submit all the application materials for each course in one file with your application. You will not be able to make changes or add materials once your application is submitted.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION​​

Requirements for admission vary by course. Please carefully review the Required Application Materials and Who Should Take This Class sections for each course. Students may only take one course per session. Course dates may not overlap (with the exception of The ​Business of Acting).

Enrollment for a course is subject to:

  1. Receipt of your completed online application and materials
  2. Approval by the course coordinator
  3. Full payment of applicable fees

ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION

Applicants will be notified by email stating that they have been accepted, not accepted, or placed on the waitlist for each course. In case of waitlist placement, applicants will be notified as soon as possible if they are confirmed for a spot in the course.

Upon acceptance into the course, fees are due to the Summer Arts registration office. 

COLL​​EGE CREDIT UNITS/TRANSCRIPTS​

All Summer Arts​ courses offer three to six units of transferable college credit through Fresno State. Courses may be repeated. If you are a California resident, you may take up to six units with no additional tuition.

You must apply for a transcript to have the units transferred to your home university. You will receive instructions at the end of your course.
