Going Beүond Traditional Financial Support

The CSU offers one of the most affordable undergraduate educational programs in the nation. More than 80 percent of CSU undergraduate students receive non-loan financial aid, and more than half of students have their tuition fully covered. The CSU is committed to expanding financial support beyond traditional financial aid as well as removing policies and fees that inadvertently prevent students from graduating on time.

By avoiding financial barriers to degree completion, students can earn their degree on time or earlier, leading to a long term cost savings of up to $31,000.

Non-traditional financial support can include microgrants to address financial aid gaps, emergency loans for students in crisis or financial incentives encouraging students to stay on track.

CSU campuses are working to increase students’ financial literacy to help them make informed decisions in college and for their future.
