Michael Lizárraga

​Michael Lizárraga serves as vice chair of the CSU Foundation Board of Governors. He is the president and chief executive officer of TELACU (The East Los Angeles Community Union), the largest Community Development Corporation in the United States. Michael is responsible for the management and oversight of TELACU, TELACU Industries and subsidiaries. He has led the successful growth of the organization for more than 20 years, engaging in new commercial real estate developments and housing projects, increasing the company's community lending portfolio, developing new community assets, and acquiring or starting new businesses.

Michael is also president of TELACU Education Foundation, which provides scholarships and educational programs to thousands of low-income, first generation Latino scholars each year. The CSU is TELACU's largest educational partner in this effort.

Michael holds a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Southern California and a bachelor of arts in music from Azusa Pacific University. He is a Trustee of Azusa Pacific University, where he received an Honorary Doctorate in 2014.

​He serves on the boards of the California Chamber of Commerce, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab at the USC Marshall School of Business.
