Our Civil Rights and Title IX programs are here to protect the right of all students and employees to participate fully in CSU programs, activities, admission, and employment free from Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking and Retaliation. This includes protections under state and federal civil rights laws like Title VI and Title IX, and our own CSU Nondiscrimination Policy.
Every CSU campus has an office responsible for implementing this policy and protecting your civil rights. Since these offices have different names across campuses, we refer to each of the offices collectively as your campus Civil Rights & Title IX Office.

The California State University’s vision for its civil rights programs and services is to foster and sustain a welcoming and nurturing campus environment where all community members are safe, supported and empowered.
Every CSU campus has an office dedicated to implementing the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy and your Civil Rights. They all work to prevent and address discrimination, harassment, dating and domestic violence, sexual misconduct, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, and stalking.
The Chancellor’s Office CRPS unit oversees and supports the work of our Civil Rights and Title IX professionals throughout the California State University system. We ensure consistent implementation of the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy, guide infrastructure, and support CSU’s culture of care and compliance.
In our efforts to create transparency and accountability across the CSU system, we are collecting, reviewing, and sharing data from each university.
As part of CSU's commitment to promoting a safe learning, living, and working environment, we are conducting ongoing reviews of civil rights programming and services at each university.
