CSU Trustee Emeritus Ali C. Razi

In 2006, Dr. Ali C. Razi, CSU trustee emeritus, endowed a scholarship fund to recognize the top-scoring recipient of the CSU Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement. This extraordinary individual is named a Trustee Emeritus Ali C. Razi Scholar and receives a $15,000 scholarship.

Dr. Razi is credited with keeping the CSU Trustees’ Award in operation. When funding for this program was in doubt, Dr. Razi stepped in—and inspired others to do the same. Dr. Razi continues to serve as chair of the CSU Trustees’ Award Selection Committee and as a member of the California State University Foundation Board of Governors.

Dr. Razi is chairman and principal of the Stratham Group, a real estate investment and development firm. He serves as vice chairman of the Midnight Mission and trustee of the Farhang Foundation. In 2011, he received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

In 2002, he received an honorary doctorate in Humane Letters from California State University, San Bernardino, for his contributions to higher education. Dr. Razi served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the California State University from 1996-2001.
