New Student Orientation and Fees

New student orientation programs are designed to guide students through their academic career and provide them with relevant information about university and academic requirements, academic advising/planning, and a variety of campus student programs.

Students attending orientation will:

  • successfully transition into college life
  • learn about class selection and academic scheduling
  • familiarize themselves with the campus environment
  • interact with and meet new people and build a network of friends
  • gain knowledge of university policies and procedures
  • obtain university information and relevant materials
  • explore available campus resources and services
  • receive a student handbook and student guide information
  • enhance their educational experience
  • increase their chances of academic success at the CSU

Attendance at orientation is strongly recommended at campuses where it is not mandatory. Orientation fees, if required, and deadlines are subject to change without prior notice. Failure to meet campus-designated deadlines will affect eligibility to attend. Student must check full details of the student orientation, including deadlines and fees at the specific CSU campus.
