Spencer Hart Winter is a senior at CSU Monterey Bay double majoring in molecular biology and human development. His scholarly work focuses on neuroscience and molecular programming, which have diverse applications in medicine and ecology. In addition to research, Spencer founded the publication Creative Scientists: Art in STEM @ CSUMB, which showcases student artwork related to science communication. He also uses skills he gained as a preschool teacher to give guest lectures at local community colleges that explain the transgender experience to future educators.

​Spencer intends to pursue a Ph.D. in bioengineering before returning to the CSU as a professor.
