​​Growing up in a rough neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri, Tranicé Warner was always encouraged by her mother to take her education and personal development seriously. Tranicé’s mother often worked three jobs just to make ends meet. With this example, Tranicé was determined to excel in education and graduated as valedictorian of her high school.

Tranicé is now a civil engineering major with emphases in water resources and geotechnical engineering at California State University, Fresno, and she was accepted into Husband-Boeing Honors Program in the Lyles College of Engineering. Dedicated to sustainability, Tranicé is exploring ground water subsidence in California’s Central Valley to help develop an artificial aquifer recharge method unique to the area's geotechnical conditions.

Tranicé is also dedicated to serving the Fresno community. She leads STEM outreach programs for minority students through her membership in the National Society of Black Engineers. After completing her undergraduate degree, Tranicé plans to enter a doctoral program and open a consulting firm focusing on sustainable urban development systems.
