Amanda Ngoc Nguyen

California State University, Fullerton
Michael A. and Debe Lucki Scholar

My academic potential has no limits because I am constantly seeking to learn new perspectives.

As a first-generation Asian American college student from a low-income household, Amanda’s parents encouraged her to pursue her personal and professional dreams. She moved several times, transferring between four different high schools, and started working at an early age. Amanda graduated from Santa Ana College with honors and is now a junior at California State University, Fullerton, majoring in business administration with a concentration in accounting.

She volunteers her time doing accounting work for organizations on campus and tutors accounting students. She currently serves as vice president of strategic operations for honor organization Beta Alpha Psi and is the recording secretary for the Association of Latino Professionals of America.

Amanda plans to work at a public accounting firm and continue to give back to CSU Fullerton and Santa Ana College by advising prospective accounting students.
