​​Philip Nicoll is a second-year student at Cal Poly Pomona majoring in mechanical engineering. 

He is an active member of the Student Innovation Idea Labs, the CPP Robotics Club and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Philip’s interest in working with his peers and campus community inspired him to seek a leadership role in the Cal Poly Rose Float program. 

Having overcome adversity throughout his life, Philip has developed resiliency and strong emotional intelligence. Despite financial challenges, he continues to push forward to achieve his degree and aspires to a career in mechanical engineering.
