Agricultural Research Institute (ARI)

The Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) exemplifies the mission of the California State University system by working for California and its citizens through partnerships across the agricultural industry and beyond. Through the colleges of agriculture on four CSU campuses and allied disciplines across the CSU, the ARI conducts applied research to ensure the sustainability of California agriculture.

ARI – HSI Opportunities

The ARI was recently awarded a 4-year $1million grant from the NIFA Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) Educational Grant Program. This grant provides:

  • 100 paid fellowships for students in science, big data, ag journalism and public policy
  • Each year, a 5-day big data analytics workshop
  • Each year, an ARI-HSI Leadership and Communicating Science Student Workshop
