Legal Support Services

In 2018, the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) launched the California State University Immigration Legal Services Project. This project provides free immigration legal services to all current students, staff (state and auxiliary), faculty, immediate family members of current students, recent graduates (who graduated within two years), and newly admitted students who have accepted their admissions.

All 23 CSU campuses have assigned immigration attorneys and paralegals that are available to provide legal consultation and representation in the following areas:

  • Legal Consultations
  • DACA Renewal and DACA Advance Parole
  • Family Based Petitions
  • Adjustment of Status
  • Special Immigrant Juvenile Status
  • Asylum
  • U Visa
  • Naturalization
  • Removal Defense
