Monique is the Interim Associate Vice Chancellor and Deputy General Counsel and the University Counsel for California State University, Bakersfield. She previously served as Assistant Vice Chancellor & Chief Counsel, Academic and Student Affairs, and as the University Counsel at California State University, Fullerton and Maritime Academy for over ten years and is the resource attorney for HIPAA, Proposition 209 and Residency. In addition to working at the CSU, Monique has worked in private practice representing school districts and community colleges, and in house for the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) and at the University of California, Berkeley campus.
