Jaime Thompson joined the California State University's Office of General Counsel in February 2022. Jaime is University Counsel for California State University, East Bay. She is a member of the Office of General Counsel External Relations Team and serves as a resource attorney for Information Security & Privacy, Legislation, International Activities and Agreements.
Prior to joining CSU, Jaime was a senior attorney at David Weiss Law, a boutique civil litigation firm in West Los Angeles. Jaime is a seasoned trial attorney and was the firm practice group leader for Employment Law, Civil Rights, and General Liability. She represented public and private entities, as well as individuals, in a variety of litigation matters including FEHA discrimination, retaliation and harassment claims; whistleblower claims; 42 USC Section 1983 claims; and tort claims. She is admitted to practice law in California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California.
