Employers need employees with industry-valued skills and knowledge to flourish in today's competitive workplace. This means everyone needs to keep learning to progress in their career. Professional and continuing education (also called extended education) extends resources beyond the traditional university setting to accommodate the educational and professional development needs of today's workforce in a variety of program formats and settings.

The CSU's PaCE program serves thousands of students with a wide variety of programs across all 22 universities*. 

Staff

The PaCE staff is based at the CSU Chancellor's Office in Long Beach.

* Transition to 22 universities in progress, as Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Cal Maritime will officially integrate in fall 2026.
