Daisy Morado Navarrete is majoring in health science and working to complete a certificate in Spanish: Healthcare Interpreting at CSU Channel Islands. She has been active in many clubs at CSUCI, including the League of United Latin American Citizens Collegiate Council, which co-hosted a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on campus. Daisy works at a local hospital as an unpaid intern, where her ability to speak Spanish helps bridge the gap between patients and health care providers.

​After she graduates, Daisy plans to pursue a master’s degree in occupational therapy to help children with developmental needs in underserved communities.
