In early 2020, Reimers became general manager of the Turlock Irrigation District (TID), making her just the seventh person and the first woman to hold the role in the more than 130-year history of the district.
In her previous role as assistant general manager of external affairs at TID, Reimers developed the district's Government Affairs Team, driving multiple new initiatives such as the Annual Community Report, increasing community event participation, and orchestrating the creation of the “Team TID" community service initiative.
A forceful advocate in the relicensing of the Don Pedro Project with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Voluntary Agreement talks with the state, she was instrumental in the creation of the West Turlock Groundwater Sustainability Agency and shepherded an important water sales agreement with local drinking water providers.
Reimers is also responsible for the evolution of TID's digital strategy and the production of the “The Irrigationist," a historical documentary of the district. She has orchestrated and championed innovative advocacy campaigns, including “Worth Your Fight" and “Tuolumne River Management Plan" to address major water issues.
She has fostered mutually beneficial relationships with organizations and influencers such as the Environmental Defense Fund, Public Policy Institute of California, American Public Power Association, and Association of California Water Agencies.
Owns and manages 50 acres of walnuts and 75 acres of leased almonds in Orland, Calif.
Belongs to the Water Solutions Network, a diverse group of stakeholders that aims to work collaboratively to manage California water issues amidst extreme hydrological conditions.
