Dahl serves as senior editor at New York magazine’s The Cut, where she leads the health and psychology coverage.
She co-founded “Science of Us” in 2014, New York’s popular social science website and has worked as a health writer and editor for NBCNews.com and TODAY.com.
Dahl began her career as an intern at The Sacramento Bee and she has since been published in The New York Times, Elle, The Guardian, TIME, Parents and Aeon.
She has appeared on MSNBC, Buzzfeed’s “AM2DM” and the “Today” how, and she’s spoken at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, SXSW and 92Y.
She published her first book, “Cringeworthy: A Theory of Awkwardness,” in 2018 about the psychological science behind embarrassment, self-consciousness, awkwardness and all the things that make us cringe.
