K-12 education executive with 38 years of experience working with language minority students as a classroom teacher, principal, and central office administrator.
Founded E.E.S. INC. in 2004 and has grown it into a successful education consulting business, serving school systems and boards. The company facilitates executive searches, strategic planning, team-building, as well as budgetary and curricular planning.
Formerly served as superintendent of schools for Salinas Union High, Medota Unified, El Rancho Unified and Parlier Unified school districts.
Served as executive director of the California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators from 2004 to 2009. Also served on the American Association of School Administrators Governing Board and on the Board of Directors for the California Association of School Administrators.
During career as an administrator, successfully advocated the passage of two infrastructure school bonds totaling $89 million. Lobbied and acquired additional $23.5 million from the state-wide school facilities program for the construction of a new school and classroom additions.
