Passionate about public health, Cachette was recognized by the California State Senate as an “Outstanding Educator” in AIDS and public health prior to attending Humboldt State and continues to be active in public health communities. She received several scholarships, including KRON4’s Beating the Odds.
After years of start-up experience, Cachette now specializes in early stage venture capital investing, often blogging about venture as an asset class or other trends.
In 2021, Cachette spearheaded a scholarship in her father’s memory, which is available to Humboldt State students in need of support, particularly in the “off-season” of financial aid deadlines. The scholarship favors students from low-income backgrounds pursuing public health.
While Cachette resides in Miami, Florida, she collaborates regularly with Humboldt alum
Dan Phillips
(former CTO of Hulu) to offer support for Humboldt’s endowment and planning processes.
