Ruth Bley is president of Bleyco, Inc., the electrical construction firm she founded in 1988. Bleyco specializes in projects involving bridges, tunnels and piers. Notable projects include the new Bay Bridge Suspension Span LED lighting, Benicia Bridge and Devils Slide Tunnel.
Ruth serves on the board of Women Construction Owners & Executives, USA, and on small business councils for Caltrans, California High Speed Rail and California’s Department of General Services, where she pushes hard for representation of female and small business owners in a world dominated by corporate conglomerates. She has also testified to the California State Assembly about the impacts of Proposition 209 on small and women-owned businesses.
Ruth is a championship equestrian rider and mentors new and young female riders. She owns Cull Canyon Ranch, a sport horse breeding and training facility focusing on eventing in Castro Valley.
