The CSU-NYC Alumni Network's mission is to unite alumni from the 23 CSU campuses that are based in the New York Metropolitan Area. Our events cater to volunteering, athletics, and entertainment with an overarching goal of cultivating a community for our alumni.
What is the CSU-NYC Alumni Network?
The CSU-NYC Alumni Network sparked a collaborative movement between the Chancellor's Office and the 23 CSU Alumni Associations after an alumnus' frustration with the lack of opportunities to network with local alumni after losing her job during 2008 financial crisis. With the help of many volunteers over the course of thirteen years, the CSU-NYC Alumni Network blossomed into an active alumni group supported by the Chancellor's Office, University Presidents, and Alumni Associations.
Our mission is to connect alumni from all 23 CSU campuses and to create a channel for professional networking, establishing a forum for shared interests, and engaging a local community of proud CSU graduates in the New York City area. The CSU-NYC Alumni Network is a resource for alumni to meet industry professionals, discuss career paths and mentorship, and ask general advice about relocating to New York from California.
The CSU-NYC Alumni Network is a non-partisan volunteer-based group of CSU alumni in New York and is an unofficial group of the California State University. The Board of Directors assists the CSU Chancellor in promoting its annual CSU Alumni Reception in New York City, in addition to hosting quarterly networking events. This network encompasses not only alumni, but also parents, former instructors and friends of the California State University system. For more information, please visit our
