Krista Murphy, P.E., LEED AP BD+C is the Managing Principal at Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in San Francisco and a member of AEI’s Board of Directors. As an electrical engineer, Krista brings over 25 years of electrical distribution and utility master planning to numerous northern California institutions such as at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Davis Health and LBNL. She has tracked the influence of electrical vehicle infrastructure, thermal utilities decarbonization and building electrification on campus central utility plants and substations during the period in which PG&E PSPS events and wildfire safety significantly impacts campus power stability. The combination of capacity planning and resilience strategy coupled with infrastructure project phasing in accordance with available funding has been the focus of Krista's consultancy to clients and the subject of her mentorship for AEI employees. Krista leads AEI’s efforts in knowledge management by coordinating AEI’s discipline specific Company Wide Teams which focus on quality, training and continuous improvement activities across the firm nationally.
