A Heartfelt Goodbye to the CSU Summer Arts

For nearly four decades, CSU Summer Arts has stood as a cornerstone of creativity, collaboration, and artistic excellence, bringing together students, faculty, and professionals from across the arts community and the world. Since its inception in 1985, as a summer dance program, CSU Summer Arts has provided invaluable opportunities for students from CSU campuses, community colleges, private institutions, and beyond, fostering a rich environment for artistic growth and innovation.

Throughout its history, CSU Summer Arts has played a role in shaping the careers of countless artists, offering a platform for emerging talent to flourish and for established professionals to share their expertise. The program's impact has been felt far and wide, contributing significantly to the development of the arts within the CSU system.

Despite the program’s systemwide impact, it was decided to conclude the CSU Summer Arts program. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes after careful consideration of the evolving landscape of higher education and the need to adapt to new challenges and opportunities.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the CSU Summer Arts program over the years. Your dedication, creativity, and passion have left an indelible mark on the program and the countless lives it has touched. The CSU looks forward to exploring future opportunities to continue nurturing artistic growth and collaboration across all campuses.

Thank you for your unwavering support and for being a part of the CSU Summer Arts legacy.

Sincerely,

CSU Summer Arts
