The Office of Risk Management is committed to excellence
in the protection of the CSU, its campuses and auxiliary members of the California State
University Risk Management Authority (CSURMA) from catastrophic liability and other financial
losses utilizing innovative and leading technological methods to provide responsive and
professional risk management services including the use of appropriate lines of insurance
and self insurance programs.
To support this mission and through the use of accepted risk management techniques and
practices, we are able to aid in preserving valuable resources for the established
educational mission of the CSU rather than funding losses due to foreseeable risk. We
are also able to assist in providing a safe and healthy environment for faculty, staff,
students and the general public at each of the CSU campuses.
