Since her youth, Linda Fegan dreamed of a college education, but life events intervened. She raised a family, held management and public relations positions in various industries, and started two businesses. It wasnt until her children were grown that she was able to begin her educational journey.
Linda is majoring in Spanish and plans to teach at a community college. She drives an hour each way from Sonora to attend CSU Stanislaus as a full-time student. Although she has suffered medical setbacks along the way, as well as the death of her son, she remains determined to reach her educational goal.
Her community service has included years of ministry work. It has taken her many places, including the Cheyenne River Sioux Indian reservation in South Dakota and a foreign assignment in Honduras. With her knowledge of the Spanish culture and language, Linda wants to enable others to surmount racial prejudice and promote cultural awareness.
