Joshua Travis Morse is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with a minor in leadership development at San Diego State University (SDSU). Born and raised in San Diego, Joshua overcame many hardships during his adolescent years in order to pursue his education. He did not let poverty, homelessness and abandonment hinder his journey to success.

He has already established himself as a promising leader by serving as the freshman liaison for the Associated Students President’s Cabinet and a participant in the Peer Leadership Consultants program. He is also a member of the reigning state champion SDSU surf team.

Joshua gives back to his community, helping his high school win a $90,000 grant to build a new weight room and establishing the first surf physical education class in the San Diego Unified School District. A proud representative of the SDSU Guardian Scholars Program, Joshua uses his voice to advocate on behalf of foster youth in his local area.

Upon graduating from SDSU, Joshua plans to attend law school and become an attorney.
