Gregory Worstell
I really enjoy getting involved with the community through sailing.

Greg Worstell grew up in Marysville, a small town in the center of Ohio. After high school, he joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as an electrical journeyman's apprentice and worked full time while attending his local community college. He was successful, but he wanted something more. Greg joined the United States Marine Corps and in 2009, was deployed to Afghanistan and helped to reinstate elections, build medical sites and establish a local police force.

After his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Greg enrolled at California State University Maritime Academy where he maintains a GPA of 3.88 studying marine transportation. He is vice president of the sailing club and squad leader of the propeller club. He is also involved in the Boating Blast program, which brings middle school and high school students to campus to learn about basic boating skills. He is interested in the dynamic positioning field of the maritime industry. After graduation, he plans to work for an offshore vessel, drilling ship or on a rig.
