COAST-ADVANCEGeo Active Bystander Intervention Workshop

​​CSU COAST partnered with ADVANCEGeo, an initiative formed to address the problem of sexual harassment and other exclusionary behaviors that lead to hostile working and learning climates in the earth, space and environmental sciences​. During the Active Bystander Intervention Workshop​​ held on October 22, 2021, CSU faculty, staff, students and administrators​​ learned to recognize sexual harassment, bullying, and other hostile behaviors and learn how to effectively intervene. Attendees participated in interactive discussions where they were presented with various hostile scenarios, including ​fieldwork settings, and developed strategies to safely intervene.
