  • George L. Pla is founder and CEO of Cordoba Corporation, a statewide engineering, construction and program management firm specializing in transportation, education, water and energy infrastructure. Cordoba Corporation has been nationally recognized by Engineering News-Record as a Top 50 Program Management Firm and a Top 100 Construction Management Firm.
  • George serves on the board of trustees of the California Science Center, where he chaired the planning and engineering efforts of Cordoba Corporation’s historic transport of the Space Shuttle Endeavour and ET-94 fuel boosters through the streets of Los Angeles.
  • George co-founded the City Club, a premier private business club in Los Angeles that embraces and reflects the diversity and spirit of the city. He has also served on the board of directors of the Catalina Island Conservancy and served as co-chair of the Southern California Leadership Council. He serves on several advisory boards, including the University of Southern California’s Viterbi School of Engineering, the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and Stanford University’s Construction Institute. 
  • Recognized by Cal State LA as an Alumnus of the Year, George is also the recipient of Cal State's Joe Shapiro Humanitarian Award and the Presidential Medallion for his outstanding leadership and extraordinary service to the university.
  • George is also the co-author of an upcoming formative book on Latino politics: "Power Shift, How Latinos in California Transformed Politics in America."
