CSU System Overview
Welcome to the California State University. Built on a foundation of providing accessible, high-quality higher education, the CSU educates more than 460,000 students from every state and more than 100 countries, and employs over 47,000 faculty and staff who have garnered national and international recognition for their work.
The CSU's 23 campuses and eight off-campus centers stretch from San Diego in the south to Humboldt in the north. The Chancellor's Office is the central headquarters, located in Long Beach. While each of the campuses has its own identity, its own distinct student populations and programs, they all share the same mission as part of the California State University—to provide high quality, affordable higher education to meet the ever-changing needs of the people of California.
What makes the CSU successful is a strong and thoughtful corps of senior leaders. It is their commitment to excellence, and their belief in the CSU mission, that makes the CSU an outstanding university. We are pleased to have you as part of the leadership of one of the nation's most dynamic universities.
