The CSU is the largest provider of baccalaureate-prepared nurses in California and a vital contributor to the state’s registered nurse pipeline. Twenty nationally accredited nursing programs across the university serve more than 7,600 students—35% of whom identify as Asian or Pacific Islander—and graduate more than 3,250 students each year.
As one of the largest and most diverse four-year university systems in the U.S., the CSU plays an important role in increasing the diversity of California’s nursing workforce, which can improve patient outcomes and health equity in California’s diverse communities.
