Kevin Nguyen’s work requires navigation through complex situations and collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, including campus, community and industry experts. “I’m relatable as a fellow student, and in my field, I can encourage students to push through challenges and achieve their dreams,” he says. Nguyen’s has been instrumental in the success of many high-profile events such as Student Academic Success Day, Annual APIDA College Day, Sacramento Black Expo, Young Men of Color Consortium Conference and Project Hmong New Year. He’s also helped establish the APIDA Center, MLK Center expansion and the Native Center on campus. Nguyen provides oversight to the flagship K-12 PAVE Tutoring Program and supports Sac State’s designation to become a First Gen Forward Institution. His exemplary performance and contributions also earned Nguyen a Staff Talent Appreciation & Retention (STAR) Award. The Sacramento State alumnus is currently pursuing his master’s in business administration. ​
