Departments

The departments that make up the division of Academic Affairs work collaboratively with our partners at the 22 universities of the CSU. Our goal is to nurture and support campuses and students in achieving their respective goals.

Academic Programs, Innovation & Faculty Development

This office coordinates and facilitates the review and approval of new academic degree programs, assists in the development and implementation of policy on General Education and other curricular matters, addresses graduate education issues and ensures that facilities planning is linked to academic program planning.

Academic Senate of the California State University

The Academic Senate of the California State University (ASCSU) provides the means for the faculty to participate in the collegial form of governance based on historic academic traditions.

Academic Technology Services

Academic Technology Services' mission is to identify, advance and support academic technology initiatives that enable student success through effective collaboration with our campus communities.

Educator and Leadership Programs

The Department of Educator & Leadership Programs (ELP) works with CSU Universities, intersegmental PK-20 partners, state and community agencies to advocate for and support educator and leader preparation and promote academic preparation of PK-12 students through educator professional learning.

Institutional Research and Analyses

Institutional Research and Analyses (IR&A) provides information, research, analytical services and data analysis that support evidence-based decision making, strategic planning and management of statistical and historical CSU student data records.​

Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE)

PaCE develops a growing inventory of courses and certificate and degree programs delivered on campus as well as off-site, online, and via other technologies.

Research

This department contributes systemwide support and promotion for CSU research, scholarship and creative activities. We foster and seek out external support for mission-related initiatives and partnerships that are systemwide or involve multiple campuses.
