The Division of Academic Affairs (DAA) provides systemwide leadership to advance teaching, learning, research and scholarship, and academic excellence across the California State University. In partnership with faculty, staff and campus leaders, and intersegmental collaborations, Academic Affairs supports the success of more than 460,000 students and 63,000 faculty and staff across 22 campuses. Guided by the CSU’s mission as the nation’s largest and most diverse four-year public university system, DAA works to expand access, strengthen academic quality, foster innovation and ensure equitable pathways to degree completion and lifelong learning. It also is committed to faculty development and excellence. Through collaborative leadership and coordinated academic policy, DAA helps prepare graduates who are workforce-ready, civically engaged and equipped to contribute to California’s economy, culture and communities.
