With more than 485,000 students and 56,000 faculty and staff spread across the Golden State, the CSU is a significant force in shaping the cultural, social and economic landscape of California. Every year Cal State campuses confer more than 125,000 degrees, reflecting the university’s keen focus on ensuring student success.

Leadership Profile

The highly skilled and experienced educational leader seeking this role will report to the Chancellor, lead a division comprised of some 140 employees, and oversee 11 direct reports and a budget of approximately $80 million.​

The Division of Academics and Student Affairs (ASA) is focused on providing a high-quality educational experience for California’s diverse student body. The nine ​units within ASA collaborate with campus partners to support students as they pursue their academic goals. Chief among the activities spearheaded by the divisio​n is the university-wide Graduation Initiative 2025, an ambitious plan to improve graduation rates, eliminate equity gaps in degree completion and meet California’s workforce needs.
