The CSU proposes a $7.5 billion operating budget for 2021-22, with $4.2 billion from the state General Fund and $3.3 billion from tuition and fee revenue. This budget plan is an increase of $556 million over the 2020-21 operating budget. It includes significant investments so that the CSU can continue to serve as the key to California’s prosperous economy, now ranked as the fifth largest in the world.
