See the payroll information below for additional resources available due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Payroll Warrant Distribution
- In response to state health and safety guidelines, the location and procedures of payroll warrant distribution may have changed at your campus. Please visit your campus payroll website for more information.
- If you receive a “live" payroll warrant, you may request it mailed to you by contacting your campus payroll office. Please check to make sure your mailing address is current.
- If you are currently enrolled in Direct Deposit, the State Controller's Office will suppress the printing of the warrant advice statements starting May 2020. You can view Direct Deposit advice statements by accessing the
California Employee Connect (CEC) portal.
Direct Deposit of Payroll Earnings
Direct Deposit is a convenient and consistent way for salary earnings to be deposited into your bank account. This includes monthly or hourly salary as well as supplemental payments, such as overtime, shift differential and premium payments. In emergency situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic, Direct Deposit may be a great option to ensure you receive your pay quickly and help avoid the need for social interaction when picking up the warrant or receiving it through the mail.
With Direct Deposit, your paycheck is automatically deposited into the financial institution of your choice – and with recent changes in the eligibility criteria, enrolling just got easier.
California Employee Connect
- The State Controller's Office recently launched their
California Employee Connect (CEC) web portal to CSU campuses system-wide. Employees can review salary earnings information and
download copies of pay stubs and W-2 information.
- All CSU employees paid through the State have access to CEC. Registration is easy; all you need is a pay stub from the prior six (6) months to set up your account. Go to
https://connect.sco.ca.gov/ to get started. If you do not have access to a pay stub dated within the last six (6) months, you may use data from your campus self-service system (availability may differ from campus to campus) to establish your CEC account.
If you have questions, need assistance, or would like to provide feedback about the portal, please email
connecthelp@sco.ca.gov.
