Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 990, which authorizes California State University, Sacramento to establish the above listed fees.

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035, 89700, 89703, 90002, and 90012 and Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Chapter II i, and Board of Trustees' Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740.

Effective September 12, California State University, Sacramento is authorized to establish the following Category III and Category IV fees at the stated fee level and for the purpose indicated:

Biology 126: Comparative Vertebrate Morphology $10 Preserved specimens and dissecting tools.
Biology 220: Research Methods in Biological Sciences $15 Enzymes and lab supplies purchased in bulk.
Biology 299: Problems in Biological Sciences $15 Enzymes, laboratory and field research supplies purchased in bulk
Graphic Design 25, 30, 120, 125, 130, 135, 145, 155 $5 Graphic design supplies bought in bulk to reduce cost for students. Pens, pencil sets, t-squares, cutting mats, Pentone reference sets and other supplies.
Graphic Design 10 $32 Graphics software tech support for students who use the computer labs for projects.
Photography Lab 11, 40, 111, 135, 138, 141, 143, 148, 150, 160, 199, 299 $12 Costs for cameras, dark room equipment repairs and replacements, photography processing chemicals, digital camera inks and software, and other lab material costs.
Interior Design Studio 25, 30, 151, 153, 161, 163, 171, 173, 181, 183 $26 Costs for materials and supplies: t-squares, cutting mats, color marker and pencil sets, and upper division or graduate level students to provide support during lab hours.

Category IV Fee Title Fee Rate (unit/flat/term) Costs Covered by the Fee
Graduate Program, Graduation Date Change Fee $7.50 This will cover the costs to process and prepare the applicant's file for review and approval - when a change of graduation date is requested.
Re-Enrollment Fee $100 Pays for staff time in Registration and Student Financial Services office to reinstate students into classes, reassess fees and perform revised enrollment and fee reconciliations after students have been deleted from classes for non-payment of fees.
Housing Refrigerator Rental Fee $50/academic year
$25/summer
Pays for the cost associated with acquiring and maintaining small refrigerators for students in university housing.

In accordance with Education Code Section 89721(l) revenue collected as higher education fees such as category III miscellaneous course fees, and all non-housing related category IV fees are to be deposited in a local trust account.

In accordance with Education Code Sections 90002 and 90074, revenues collected from fees for state campus lodging and services supported by the campus housing program shall be deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of the California State University Dormitory Revenue Fund.
