The Phyllis Sorichetti Trust provided $400,000 to support the Department of Music and the cost of touring with CSU Sacramento's student music groups. Here, Sacramento State's Camerata Capistrano, directed by Lorna Peters (center), gives students an opportunity to showcase their talents.In March 2013, Fresno State celebrated the grand opening of the new Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market, made possible because of a $1.5 million dollar bequest from the estate of Joyce Mae Gibson. The Farm Market was renamed to honor her parents, Rue and Gwen Gibson.
Edward Marsh donated signed first editions and memorabilia from "golden age" of science fiction authors to San Diego State University. The gift, valued at more than $2.25 million, will eventually be displayed in the "Edward Marsh Golden Age of Science Fiction Room".
